1
The installation of PP and PVC sewer pipes with flared joints with a PVC gasket is done by pushing the spigot end of the pipe or fitting into the socket of the previous element. For facilitating the connection the spigot end should be applied with a thin layer of a lubricant Sanskid to ease the pipe into the socket.

2
Remember to secure the pipes against freezing should there be a need to lay them along the external walls or in places exposed to external air access, also under the floor of a house where the temperature may drop below 0oC.
-
3
Remember also that the best installation temperature is between 10oC_20oC, and when the temperatures are lower, the gasket should be soaked for a while in hot water because gaskets harden in lower temperatures. Internal PP and PVC sewage system pipes should not be installed in temperatures below 0oC.

4
The covering of horizontal outgoing lines from the PVC pipes under the floor should be at least 0.5 m (it is prohibited to lay them directly under the floor on hard concrete surface). In passages through dividing structures (e.g. strip foundations, load bearing walls) the pipes have to be laid in a protective sleeve, whereas the sleeve cannot contain a pipe joint and the sleeve should be filled out with elastic sealant.
-
5
The sewer ducts in surface under the floor should be laid on a sand bedding 15-20cm thick. In class I-IV soils the bedding does not have to be prepared. The bottom of the excavation should be done in natural soil or secured against soil settlement along the sewer line course.

6
Horizontal branch drains directly adjacent to residential rooms have to have acoustic insulation. Thermal and air insulation in wall chases should not be thinner than 2cm.
-
7
Wall chases may be covered up after partial takeovers. It is not permitted to cover up wall chases with construction materials.
-
8
The spigot end of the pipe should enter the socket at its full length thus it is worth to mark on the outside how deeply it should be inserted.
-
9
Sewer pipes have to be fixed to a stable surface (e.g. a wall) with the use of plastic holders spaced along horizontal and vertical sections every 1 m and under every socket
- install the sockets every time directly before and after stop valves
- every time use holders under T-pipes on branch-offs from stacks with an additional muff under the holder as a stabilizing point
- use only holders with a rubber insert or made of plastic.

10
Polyurethane foam insulations should not be used.
